Incubus to host benefit concert for trapped Chilean miners

Incubus has announced a benefit show for the families of the 33 Chilean miners who have been trapped deep underground since August.

The concert will be held on Oct. 8 at the Teatre La Cupula in Santiago, Chile.

There is no set date that the miners could be free, but reports are saying it could be as soon as Oct. 15. Once the men have been freed, they will also have to face the fact that their company has filed for bankruptcy, which leaves them without paychecks and jobs.

Incubus to headline Smoke Out Festival

Incubus tickets have been hard to come by since the band is juggling a South American tour with studio time,  but that will soon change.

Incubus will be headlining the Cypress Hill Smoke Out Festival in San Bernardino, Calif., on Oct. 16!

Just days after the conclusion of their South American tour the band will take the stage alongside other Smoke Out Festival artists MGMT, Cypress Hill, Slightly Stoopid, Atmosphere, Manu Chao, Nas and more!

Mike Einziger Composes New Kirsten Dunst Film

Kirsten Dunst made her directing debut at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival with Welcome.  This year Dunst is making her debut as a screenwriter and producer for her Short Narrative, Bastard.  Mike Einziger of Incubus has composed his first film score for the feature.

The film follows a young couple in crisis when they find their way to a desert motel.  Three odd men plan to meet them for reasons that seem unbelievable. ( Read More…)

Incubus honored by Surfrider

Incubus will be honored at the Surfrider Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Gala this Friday night, October 9th, which will be hosted by Blink-182 rocker Mark Hoppus.

The rockers will receive the “Keepers of the Coast” award, along with Pearl Jam and actor David Cokachi. The band is known for their environmental causes and has been active with the group.

The foundation’s media partners, Filter Magazine and FUEL TV, will air a special on the organization on November 23rd.
